It all started with a goodbye. When Brian said goodbye to his girlfriend before she moved to Pennsylvania, he did it with his voice and an acoustic guitar, bringing several members of the small audience to tears with earnest lyrics, spot-on guitar work, and an accessible voice that spoke to all of those among us that have ever dreamed of being on stage with an acoustic and hearing the crowd clap and sing along.
Later on that night, a friend suggested that Brian name his guitar after his girlfriend who was moving, and the name has stuck ever since. Brian and his best friend (and not to mention best wing man) Nicky have played shows all over the Livingston County scene, standing out amidst a swirling wind of fleeting metal and hardcore bands under the name of Paper Wings. They are now looking to expand into the Lansing, MI music scene. And then the world after that. Are you ready?
